The Art Blocks of the Month are curated by me, which means I’ll usually put them up in the shop the first of the month or the last of the month depending on the theme. If it’s the first, I’ll just post a link to the Art Blocks of the Month up in the gallery, but if it’s the last, I’ll post it in the shop.
Art Blocks of the Month is a great way to get new ideas for your own art. If you ever wanted to make a comic or a painting or something, Ill make a link to Art Blocks of the Month and then see what people think.
You’d think that the idea behind Art Blocks would be that you could create your own art block. However, because one of the purposes of the Art Blocks is to let people upload their own work, there are some rules you have to follow. The rules are complicated, but basically you have to have your piece of art uploaded somewhere else, or else the block won’t appear. The first rule is that you have to list your name, location, and a link to your art.
The second rule is that the art you upload must be your own work. You can’t upload other people’s work, and you can’t upload work that has been completed by someone else. This means that you have to have your own work uploaded somewhere, or else it wont appear.
The rules are complicated but they are very clear. It’s like the old “Don’t steal anyone’s shit.” rule, but with art. It’s been a while since I’ve had to do that, but my friend’s work is on the website (check it out), and he’s made a bunch of “art blocks” that he’s uploaded to his site. Now he has to upload this work somewhere, or else it won’t appear.
He also has a bunch of other art he has uploaded to his site too.
It actually sounds like its a pretty good rule to follow, but I feel like this is a pretty lazy way to go about it. Because there is one art block he didnt upload, because it doesnt have any other work by him. There are plenty of art blocks he didnt upload because he doesnt have the time to. If there was a way to put them on his site, then that would be nice.
He will probably have to do some work on his site, but I want to get this to his attention. Hopefully he will get some work out there.
I do think it would be nice to have a way to put art blocks that he didnt upload on his site. I know I have the time and Ive been looking for the time, but I dont think this would be a good way to go about things.
