O que é Stock-to-flow?
A model relating an asset's existing supply to its annual new production, applied to Bitcoin to argue for scheduled price appreciation.
The ratio itself is a real and simple measure. The controversy is the model built on it, which fitted Bitcoin's price history to the ratio and projected forward.
The projection has diverged substantially from outcomes, and the underlying method — fitting a curve to a variable that increases deterministically over time — will fit almost any rising series. We reference it as a widely discussed model, not as evidence.
Scarcity is a property, not a price mechanism. Nothing about a supply schedule guarantees demand.
