Bitcoin fee estimator
What a Bitcoin transaction costs right now, at each confirmation target — in satoshis per virtual byte, in total satoshis, and in dollars. Adjust the size to match your own transaction.
A one-input, two-output native SegWit spend is about 141 vB. More inputs means a larger transaction and a higher total fee at the same rate. Legacy addresses are substantially larger.
| Confirmation target | Typische Wartezeit | Satz | Gebühr | Approx. USD |

How Bitcoin fees actually work
Every block holds a fixed amount of space. When more transactions want in than fit, they compete on Gebührensatz — satoshis per virtual byte — and miners take the highest bids first. What matters is the rate, not the total: a large transaction paying a big total fee can be less attractive than a small one paying less, because block space is what is scarce.
Why your fee may differ
Transaction size depends on how many inputs it consumes and what address types are involved. Consolidating many small UTXOs makes a large transaction; a native SegWit spend is meaningfully cheaper than a legacy one for the same economic action. Wallets that quote a flat fee are quoting an estimate for an assumed size.
If a transaction gets stuck
Fee rates can rise after you broadcast. If your wallet signalled replace-by-fee you can rebroadcast the same spend at a higher rate. If you control an output of the stuck transaction — usually the change — you can instead spend it at a high rate so miners take the pair together. Neither is a guarantee, and neither requires paying anyone a "fee-acceleration" service.
