What is All-time high (ATH)?
The highest price an asset has ever traded at, in a stated currency.
ATH is a fact about the past with no predictive content, though it is frequently deployed as though it had some. It is also currency-dependent: an ATH in one fiat currency need not be one in another.
Its main practical relevance is psychological: it is the level above which no holder is underwater, which changes the composition of who might sell.
